On Saturday and Sunday, January 28 and 29, the second open tournament of the National League of Professional Bodyguard NPBL Ukraine 2012 took place in Nikolaev Ukraine.

As previously reported, the aim of the competition was to increase the level of training of the guards and promote their profession. The competition was attended by teams of public and private companies that specialize in protection: special Interior Ministry Griffin (Nikolaev, Odessa), Titan (Donetsk), NPBL (Sevastopol, Chernigov, Dnepropetrovsk), private security and detective agency Fifth guardian (Nikolaev), Delta (Nikolaev), Office of State Security (the Crimea).

At the Sports Complex of the Emergencies Ministry, which is located in Raketnaya Rosha, journalists were taken by a minibus. Local authorities visited the event’s opening, the first deputy mayor of Nikolaev Yuriy Andrienko and the Head of Department on Physical Culture and Sports of Nikolaev regional state administration Alexandr Sadovsky.

Vice-Mayor Andrienko greeted guests at the tournament of bodyguards and expressed hope for the similar meetings in the future.
- People like you - men of honor, duty, dignity, have always been an example for me in my life ... I wish you good luck in the championship and I hope that we will meet more frequently - Andrienko said.

The producer of TAK TV Hleb Golovchenko, also present at the event, wished to each of the contestants to always come back home, and that the client was still alive.

From communication with the members of the competition the reporters found out the main problem faced by domestic bodyguards in their work - the need for knowledge of foreign languages, especially English. It is because of this brave Ukrainian guards often lose orders.

It should be noted that a special feature of this year's tournament were severe weather conditions: high winds and high subzero temperatures.

The correspondent were present at the tournament so-called Integrated task number 2: support for the protected person on foot, providing the first (pre-medical) care in an emergency situation, the security of protected persons and their evacuation from the building in case of fire, Defensive Shooting - an individual, a group of personal protection, when accompanied by a protected person on foot and car escort.

Unfortunately, the fire part of the tournament has been removed from the agenda due to unexpected shutdown of water.
The teams were shooting at targets from the traumatic weapon (pistols, shooting with the rubber bullets), provided first aid to the affected dummy under the watchful supervision of medical specialists, VIP-persons evacuated from the car, who came under fire from the enemy, firing at targets at the same time, simulating the aggressors .
At the end of two days, the competition was won by the team from Donetsk Titan. Second place went to the security company Skif, also from Donetsk. Nikolaev security and detective agency Fifth guards took the third place on the podium.
