There are five different coins in denominations of five hryvnia available, they are made of nickel silver, and put into circulation on the 23rd of December 2011. Four coins are distinct in that they are stylized (emblems, pictures of stadiums), four cities of Ukraine, hosting matches of Euro - Kiev, Lvov, Kharkov, Donetsk. All coins are identical in weight - 16,54 grams, have the same diameter - 35 millimeters. Each coin has the same amount of copies - 100 000 pieces.
In a somewhat different version - the fifth coin in the series is made, so to speak of the overall direction. All parameters are identical to the previous (16,54; 35; 100, 000).
Official cost of each of the coins listed on the official website of the National Bank of Ukraine is 22 hryvnia. But in Nikolaev banks offer to buy a coin at 100 hryvnia per one.
For Euro 2012 eleven medals were released in Ukraine in total. In addition to the above mentioned denominated in five hryvnia - four silver coins in denominations of ten and one silver coin - denomination of twenty hryvnia. The cost of the first four is up to 589 hryvnia, and the fifth - 1016 hryvnia. All of them are put into circulation on the 1st of December, 2011.
Finally, the most expensive coin - gold, of 500 hryvnia denomination. Its weight is impressive - half of a kilo of pure gold, diameter - 80 millimeters. Introduced on December 16th, the value is not specified. And it is of a limited edition (500 pieces).
